Mo’s leadership, strategic vision and passion for business are instrumental in ensuring Harvard Developments Inc. and The Hill Companies continue their tradition of prosperity and community service.  He serves on numerous business and community Boards; currently serving as Chairperson of Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, Director of One Life Makes a Difference, and Director of the Mother Teresa Middle School for motivated, economically disadvantaged families from inner city Regina.

Mo’s contributions and commitment in community involvement include:

Steve N. Enns, R.P.A.
Vice President, Property Management

Leading an exceptional team of management personnel, Steve oversees property management for Harvard Developments Inc., its building partners and several other private, institutional and public investors.  Presently, this diversified portfolio of primarily Class A properties throughout Western Canada consists of nearly 5.0 million square feet of office, retail and industrial real estate valued at over $600M.

Steve is accountable for the total enterprise performance of Harvard Property Management Inc., a subsidiary of Harvard Developments, and is licensed as the company’s broker with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission.  During 25 years with Harvard, Steve has organized property management activities for private and public enterprises both in Canada and the United States.  He is a member of Harvard’s senior management team guiding real estate and corporate initiatives for the Hill Companies.

In recent years, Steve participated in updating the City of Regina’s Downtown Neighborhood Plan; an extensive strategy designed to inform property development in downtown Regina for the next 20 years; and he is serving a second term on the Board of Directors with the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District.  As a member of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, Steve is actively involved with property tax reform; and in 2010 was honored to accept the Chamber’s Paragon Award for Environmental Excellence recognizing Harvard’s environmental stewardship in property management.

Referring to a company motto, Service is our Finest Property, Steve often says that “property management is not about bricks ‘n mortar; it’s about people”.  Delivering service excellence to customers is a primary objective for Steve, and his team.



Rosanne Hill Blaisdell, M.B.A., C.C.I.M.

Managing Director, Harvard Buildings Inc.

Vice President, Leasing, Harvard Developments Inc.


In 1997, Rosanne was the fourth generation of the Hill's to join the family business. She began as a General Manager spending a few years in property management, overseeing the Regina Retail properties. Today, she is the driving force behind Harvard's leasing team, while also assuming the broader responsibility of creating value within The Hill Companies' owned and co-owned real estate portfolio in Regina and Calgary. In addition to these strategic management responsibilities, Rosanne has primary responsibility for marketing and corporate communications.

After earning a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism in the U.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Manitoba, Rosanne's career unfolded with experience in a variety of disciplines including broadcasting/marketing, commercial banking and investment management. This background, combined with a unique creativity, enthusiasm and dedication, has provided a natural fit for her role within The Hill Companies.




Blair Forster
Vice President, Development


Blair's real estate career began in 1986 in commercial real estate brokerage. In 1991 he joined McCallum Hill Real Estate, a member of The Hill Companies and at the time the brokerage arm of Harvard Developments Inc. Blair soon made the move from brokerage to development and was promoted to the General Manager of Harvard's Canadian development operation in 1996 and later to Vice President in 2000. Blair's responsibilities were expanded in 2004 with the consolidation of Harvard's residential development group within his commercial development team.

Under Blair's leadership, Harvard Developments Inc. has grown into one of Western Canada's leading development companies specializing in retail, office, industrial, residential and raw land development. Harvard's portfolio has grown to over 3,000,000 sq. ft. and is developing on a joint venture basis well in excess of 1.5 billion dollars worth of real estate.


James Camplin, LLB

General Counsel

Prior to joining Harvard Developments Inc. as General Counsel James was a partner and led the real estate team in the Regina office of  MacPherson Leslie & Tyerman LLP. In this role, James acted on behalf of clients on numerous commercial real estate acquisitions, financings and lease transactions.  James also advised clients, from small proprietors to large corporations, on general corporate and commercial matters including: corporate structuring, legal due diligence, corporate financing, and mergers and acquisitions.

James is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and convocated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1995.  James sits on the Legal Advisory Committee of Information Services Corporation.



Tina Svedahl, C.M.A.
Vice President, Investments


Tina has over 17 years of experience in the real estate industry.  In 2004, she was appointed to Vice President Investments with Harvard Developments Inc. – A Hill Company.   Tina plays a key role in strategic planning, underwriting of investment opportunities and leads the acquisitions and dispositions of all income producing properties.

 

Tina also provides strategic expertise, leadership and management of mergers and acquisitions to many of The Hill Companies, including Harvard Broadcasting, UFR Urban Forest Recyclers and Harvard Western Insurance. 

 

Tina is a CMA and graduate of the Accountancy (Financial Management) Program, Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts and Science (SIAST) and holds her Canadian Securities Certificate.

Ms. Svedahl currently serves on the board for both Globe Theatre and Harvard Western Insurance. In addition, she is a Voting Member of the Commonwealth Associates Investment and Merchant Banking Commitment Committee and a member of The Executive Committee (TEC).  As a supporter of youth retention initiatives in Regina and surrounding areas, Tina is a past member of the Regina Regional Economic Development Authority (RREDA) Future Leaders Group.

 


 

Laurie Powers, CA, ICD.D

Vice President, Private Investments

Laurie Powers is a seasoned financial executive with 20 years of experience in the private and Crown Corporation sectors. Prior to joining Harvard Developments, Laurie was the Chief Financial Officer for Victoria Park Capital, a private equity firm managing a $600 million investment portfolio.   Prior to the start up of Victoria Park Capital, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Investment Saskatchewan.  From 2000 to 2004, she was the Chief Financial Officer for Information Services Corporation and from 1996 to 2000 she was the Vice–President Finance with National Alfalfa, a private sector start-up.  From 1992 to 1996 Laurie was with Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation, progressing to the position of Executive Manager of Finance.  She spent three years at Deloitte & Touche in Saskatoon where she received her Chartered Accountant designation.  Laurie brings broad business experience to Harvard within her core financial area of expertise as well as in corporate governance, human resources management, investment management, operations, compliance, strategic planning and risk management.

Laurie supports a variety of community and professional organizations, currently serving on the board of directors for the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club and the One Life Makes a Difference Foundation, as the past-President of Financial Executives International, Regina Chapter, and as the Treasurer of Mother Teresa Middle School Inc.  She has also served on a number of private sector boards of directors, and currently sits on the Harvard Western Ventures Inc. and Peace Hills Insurance Boards of Directors.

 


Terry Downie, C.A.
Vice President, Finance

Terry provides strategic leadership and direction for various financial areas of The Hill Companies, including corporate finance, financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow projections, tax compliance, and tax planning. He also plays a key role in strategic governance and risk management. He leads a team of dedicated professionals that are committed to delivering high quality financial services that are critical to the success of The Hill Companies, its clients and business partners.

Terry graduated with distinction from the University of Regina in 1979 with a Bachelor of Administration degree. He then articled for his Chartered Accountancy with Clarkson Gordon (now Ernst & Young) and achieved his designation in 1981. He joined the Hill Companies in 1983 and since that time he has held numerous positions including Accountant, Controller - Corporate Accounting and Taxation, Corporate Controller and his present position.

Terry serves on the board of the Mackenzie Art Gallery, the Madonna Foundation and the Father Murray Foundation. He is also currently a member of the Tax Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan.

 


 

Hiedi Pearson, B.A.

Manager of Human Resources and Employee Services

Hiedi’s focus is pursuing Harvard’s mission of providing a rewarding work environment which fosters innovation, continuous improvement and opportunity, while respecting and promoting individual and family values. She joined The Hill Companies in 1998 as Executive Assistant to Mo Bundon, Senior Vice President and COO. During this time she gained an understanding of the business and culture of Harvard.  

 

Under Hiedi’s leadership, the YES Team or Your Employee Service Team provides internal services to the employees of The Hill Companies. These services include human resources, administrative support, marketing and business communications.

 

Hiedi is a graduate of the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts and Certificate in Administration and is a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Human Resource Professionals.
